"WakeSkate Shuvit"
Pre-Requisites:You
must be able to edge out on your heels into the
flats. Also you must be able to do a consistent
Ollie in the flats.
How To: This trick
is all foot Position and timing. I recommend
putting your back foot all the way on the back of
the tail and your front foot right in the center
of the board. Now that your feet are set, Edge out
on your heel side edge into the flats about 20-25
feet. You will want to throw this trick right when
you flatten out off your edge. If you try this
trick while you are edging out you are more than
likely going to leave the board behind you or you
might spin it too far. So edge out on your heels ,
right when you flatten off your going to want to
bend your knees just like a regular Ollie and
right when you pop you are going to want to use
your front foot to kick it around. It is mainly
your front foot deciding where the board is going
to go.
Upon landing, you will want to spot
the board landing under your feet. Try to have
your feet land the same way they left the board
before the trick. You will want to land with even
weight on your feet or a little more on your back
foot.
Hand Position on the rope: When
landing I recommend landing with one hand on the
rope and use your back hand for balancing.
Tips: If you
are having trouble getting the board around, try
to help your front foot out by giving the board a
little more swing with your back foot. Meaning
kick your backfootward the heel side shore also if
you don't think you are getting high enough to try
this trick. Try it over a little slalom buoy and
you are more than likely going to get over it.
Sounds weird but you will force yourself too pop
that
hard.
